It seems the intrepid duo of Matt Harriman and Daniel Walker of niche Leeds commercial property consultants Gent Visick have taken it upon themselves to form a Touch Rugby team and here at J. P. Wild Limited, we are very happy to assist the boys by sponsoring the team’s kit requirements.
The team will go by the name ‘The Professionals’ and will be entering this summer’s league, with matches to be played at South Leeds Stadium. There is confirmed interest in the team from 30 young professionals in and around Leeds, many hailing from the accounting, banking, legal, property and surveying professions (tut, so that’s how they came up with the name!!).
Touch Rugby Leeds is Leeds City Council’s provider of Touch Rugby for Leeds and the game is played to international rules in social and competition leagues for age groups 14+, female, male and mixed teams.
We wish The Professionals all the very best for the coming season and we look forward to seeing the silverware!!
We are delighted to be have been instructed by Sanderson Weatherall LLP on behalf of their client, Bramall Properties Limited, and have recently commenced works extending the Aldi store situated on the North Valley Retail Park in Colne, Lancashire.
The project will see us construct a C.2,300ft2 extension on a wholly Design & Build basis (a first for J.P. Wild!!) to the existing Aldi store together with the diversions of existing drainage and electric mains cabling.
The 17 week project, being delivered whilst the store remains fully operational, will be split into two phases. The first incorporating the drainage and electric diversions, the second the construction of the portal frame building which is programmed to be handed over in July 2016.
Once again J. P. Wild Limited is heading over the hills into Lancashire and this time to Didsbury, some 4 1/2 miles south of Manchester city centre.
We are very pleased to be working closely with the hotel to deliver the refurbishment of 17No. bedrooms and adjoining corridor spaces, whilst other areas of the hotel remain in full operation and un-interrupted by the works.
The scope of works incorporates stripping the works areas back to a shell like state, prior to being subject to a complete makeover including new wiring, re-plastering, new bathroom suites, tiling, flooring, decorating, heating, lighting, power & data etc. There will be a phased handover, with 11No. bedrooms due for hand over on 15th April 2016, with the remaining 6No. bedrooms to be handed over on 13th May 2016 (yes, a Friday!).
Our team is fully committed to delivering the works within the timescales stipulated, opting to lodge onsite during the course of the works, albeit hardly surprising………..given that the hotel is one of the best in the Didsbury area and boasts a 25m heated swimming pool, large gym & spa!
NHBC REGISTRATION – IN THE BAG? INDUBITABLY!
We are absolutely thrilled to report that, with effect from February 2016, J. P. Wild Limited has been admitted to the NHBC Register of house builders and developers. J. P. Wild Limited is already an award winning builder and the admittance to its register is the icing on the cake for us and represents formal recognition by the NHBC of the fact that all of the homes we have built to date have been built to exacting NHBC standards and current building regulations in any event.
There cannot be many people these days who are not aware of the NHBC and that it is the leading warranty, insurance provider and standards setter for UK house building for new and newly converted homes. Around 80% of new homes built in the UK each year have an NHBC world leading 10-year Buildmark warranty. Builders and developers who sell properties with NHBC warranties must adhere to NHBC’s strict standards of construction contained in the NHBC Technical Standards in addition to complying with Building Regulations in the UK.
Originally created in 1936 as the National House Builders Registration Council (“NHBRC”), its aim was to tackle the substandard building practices in the inter war years. In 1973, the NHBRC became the NHBC and in 2010, the NHBC was a founder member of ‘The Consumer Code for Home Builders’ which gives added protection and rights to the buyers of brand new homes.

As can be observed from our recent attendance at Highfield Primary in Leeds and our well-deserved Headteacher’s Award, we never play truant and we conduct ourselves impeccably at all times. Our J. P. Wild team of Teacher’s Pets are more than capable of paying attention, fully assimilating the requirements of the task asked of them and of being able to get their work handed in on time! Unlike some of our competitors it would appear, who presumably “Must try harder”, we shall not be looking to accidentally lose our End of Term Report on the way home from skool, shcool, school…..
J. P. Wild has recently commenced on site at 8 Park Square East in the centre of Leeds. The project will see us undertake a scope of remedial works over 8 weeks that will principally comprise toilet and kitchenette refurbishments, internal decorations to the building and the installation of new power and data sources.
The work is being undertaken on behalf of Sanderson Weatherall LLP and their client The Tavistock and Portman NHS Foundation Trust, which is a specialist mental health trust whose main aims are the improvement of mental health and the prevention of ill health.
Park Square itself is a Georgian public square in Leeds. It is one of four notable squares in Leeds city centre, the square is grassed over and is a traditional Georgian park. The square is in Leeds’s “financial quarter” and is surrounded by fantastic Georgian buildings which are mainly occupied as offices, many being professional services firms such as accountants, barristers, solicitors and surveyors.
